She has always loved him. Now, she’ll fight to save him.

He has a second chance at love, so why does he want to run…again?

Anna Brighton is a dreamer and always has been. What’s wrong with believing in fairytales? Since she was eleven years old, she has loved her older brother’s best friend. Spencer Mason will return to her one day, and they’ll live their fairy tale life together.

But when Spencer returns as Hawk, a badass, tattooed biker and a jerk to the nth degree, he’s nothing like the man who skipped town. Now, he demands she pretend they have just met. How can she agree to play such an idiotic game? They have a son together—okay—he doesn’t know, but still… He’s putting her ass in a jam from the get-go, setting her up for lies.

Hawk Mason lives a lie. It took him fifteen years to return. Now, believing he is strong enough to come home, he discovers Anna is his new neighbor. And she has a kid. Unbelievable. Fate drives in another screw. Hawk refuses to go back in time, even for her, his childhood crush. So, he prohibits her from discussing their past. But Anna has a way about her—she’s a persistent little bug.

Anna searches for the sweet man who left her behind, cracking through Hawk’s defensive wall with one flirtatious antic after another. And it’s working. He lets Anna get too close. Panty-ripping sparks fly.

The rules get shattered.

Lies unravel.

Her destiny is a joke. Fairytales be damned.

And if fate screws him over again, his second chance at love might implode.
